[ Source: Style.com & Neil Rasmus] WSJ’s Magazine Innovator Awards drew many of fashion’s most creative minds including: Karlie Kloss, Valentino Garavani, Gisele Bündchen, Thom Browne,Thomas Woltz, Liu Wen, Tenzin Wild, Tao Okamoto, Francisco Costa, Carlos Souza, Joseph Altuzarra and Olivier Rousteing, Lazaro Hernandez, Kristina O’Neill, and Jack McCollough. Thomas Woltz, one of the forces behind New York’s Hudson Yards development, was given the Design Innovator award by his longtime friend, the designer Thom Browne. Venture capitalist Joshua Kushner handed the Technology Innovator award to Nick D’Aloisio, who sold his Summly app to Yahoo, in March, for an estimated $30 million. And André Leon Talley presented Pat McGrath with the Fashion Innovator award for her numerous contributions to the beauty industry.
Salvatore Ferragamo hosted an intimate cocktail party in celebration of the specially curated holiday gift guide at the Salvatore Ferragamo Flagship boutique on Fifth Avenue. Guests enjoyed customized sketches by blind contour artist, Ian Sklarsky, speciality holiday cocktails and music by DJ Brendan Fallis.
Notable attendees wearing head to toe included Antony Todd, Marc Kushner, Brendan Fallis, twin models Jonathan Sampaio and Kevin Sampaio, model Taylor Fuchs, Justin Livingston, Saul Carrasco, Filippo Fioria, Filippo Cirulli, Dan Chizinoti and Details Style Director Eugene Tong. A portion of proceeds from the evening supported Goods for Good.

Sir Paul Smith has finally released a bookcovering his near 40 years as a menswear icon. Titled ‘Hello, My Name is Paul Smith’. From the 15th November 2013 to 9th March 2014, London’s Design Museum invites you into the world of fashion designer Paul Smith, a world of creation, inspiration, collaboration, wit and beauty. Looking to the future as well as celebrating his career to date, the exhibition will reference Paul Smith’s influences and fashion designs, charting the rise of one of the world’s leading fashion brands.
“Hello, my name is Paul Smith”, a book published by Rizzoli, has been released ahead of the exhibition and is available to buy online here. Produced in association with the Design Museum, the book offers a rich visual experience, illustrated throughout with hand-drawn designs, archival photographs and engaging essays, this colourful catalogue weaves together a compelling visual tale of Paul Smith’s prestigious projects and creative processes.

Opening night at Grand Palais, Paris, for the Miss Dior exhibition with Natalie Portman, Sophie Marceau, Karl Lagerfeld, Gala Gonzales and others. Paris November 12th 2013. Natalie Portman was present together with celebrities from the world of art, fashion and movies at the Vernissage of Miss Dior. Fifteen women artists from all over the world has been invited to be inspired by the first Dior Parfume from 1947. Their art work is presented in the exposition at Grand Palais between 13 - 25 November 2013.
