Museo Salvatore Ferragamo - Exhibition Celebration

The Ferragamo family joined by select VIP’s includingLola Schnabel (wearing a Ferragamo silk dress and Ferragamo Creations heels), celebrated the opening of Museo Salvatore Ferragamo’s latest exhibition Equilibrium. The prestigious exhibition pays tribute to not only Salvatore’s innovative design, but his mastery of anatomy. 

Ferragamo also unveiled two additional styles to the Creations line, recreating iconic styles from the Ferragamo archives. “Ètoile” - reproducing the original ballet flat with patented shell-shaped sole designed by Salvatore Ferragamo in the late 1950’s. ”The Chianti 1” pump is one of the best known and most successful of Salvatore Ferragamo’s creations in the 1950’s, dedicated to Marilyn Monroe and seen as symbolic of her sensuality.

imageWith exposure  Dior, images of legend. The great photographers and Dior,  Christian Dior Museum continues the exploration of the links between the greatest artistic references to Dior. After exposure  Dior, prom artists  in 2011,  Stars in Dior  in 2012, devoted to relations with Dior film, and  Impressions Dior. Dior and Impressionism  in 2013, the exhibition  Dior, images Legend  seeks to demonstrate how photography has also contributed to the global success of Christian Dior.

Since presenting his first haute couture collection in 1947, the House of Dior is enriched with effect from the eyes of the greatest photographers, themselves inspired by the style of the great couturier and his successors. From the post-war, Richard Avedon, Horst P. Horst, Clifford Coffin establish the canons of an iconic iconography of Christian Dior. And Irving Penn, Cecil Beaton, Erwin Blumenfeld, Henry Clarke, Peter Knapp, Guy Bourdin and Helmut Newton built around the vision of a woman by Dior archetype of fashion photography; genre itself enshrined in the contemporary period by Patrick Demarchelier, Dominique Issermann, Peter Lindbergh, Terry Richardson, Nan Goldin, Jean Baptiste Mondino, Paolo Roversi, Bruce Weber, Nick Knight, Inez van Lamsveerde Vinooh Matadin and Willy Vanderperre.
